Blow, 47, for 36 years an employee of the Pere Marquette railroad and for almost 23 years a resident of Ionia died at St. Mary's hospital, Grand Rapids, at 10 o'clock Sunday night only a few days after he suffered a stroke. He had been ill but a short time and his death was not expected. When 16 years of age he became an employee of the Pere Marquette railroad in Ionia. He was employed for three years in the Detroit offices of the railroad and 10 years ago was transferred to Grand Rapids, where he and his family have since lived. He was a member of the Ionia Masonic lodge and the Ionia Elks lodge. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Sullivan funeral home, Grand Rapids. Burial will be at the Ionia Highland Park cemetery and the Ionia Masonic lodge will conduct the services at the grave. surviving are the wife, Hattie Blow, two daughters, Mrs. Warren Wardwell, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Richard Franks, of Lansing; a son, William Blow, at home; his mother, Mrs. Wilbur Postle, of Ionia; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Matthews and Mrs. William Christensen, both of Ionia, and Mrs. Glenn Gilmore of Lansing.
