JAMES BLUM of Kentwood, MI.
Died Thursday August 31, 2017-age 67
Born August 22, 1950, son of Carl and Doris Blum.
Survived by wife, Laura, two children, six grandchildren, three brothers, 
brother and sister-in-law, aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Jim grew up in Wyoming, he & Laura raised their two children in Saranac.
Loved Baseball, Little League & High School at Godwin Heights High School.
After college had a career with Meijer, retired after 30 years.
Celebrated 17 years of Marriage to Laura on July 1, 2017.
Received lung transplant in 2016 & battled cancer.
Preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, several aunts and uncles.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Chapel, Kentwood SE.
A Memorial celebration Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at Kentwood Community 
Church, 1200 60th St. SE, Kentwood, MI., 49508.
Family request any contributions be give to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
