Blumberg, 68, Route 1, Orleans, died early Saturday morning at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Entrican, June 21, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blumberg. He attended schools in Entrican and in 1906 was married to Maggie Luther. In 1920 he moved to Orleans township where he operated a farm there until four months ago when he moved to Ionia to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald Eckley. He was employed at the Michigan State Reformatory for 20 years and retired in 1946. He was a member of the Wacousta Methodist church. Surviving besides his wife, Maggie, are four daughters, Mrs. Florence Bentley of Ithaca, Mrs. Jenny Eckley of Ionia, Mrs. Nina Marshall of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Emma Nelson of Lake Odessa; four sons, Emerson of Flint, Raymond and Theodore of Ionia, and Harvey of Bay City; 22 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Bert VanNordick of Belding. Three children, Iris Jean, Beverley and Clois preceded him in death. The body will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home until noon Tuesday when it will be taken to the First Christian church where funeral services will be conducted at 3 2:30. Burial will be at Orleans cemetery. ---- Funeral services for Emery C. Blumberg, who died Saturday, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Christian church by the Rev. Maurice Horn of Lyons assisted by the Rev. Court O. Adams. Mrs. Mabel Bloomer was the organist. Pallbearers were Elwin Pierson, Kenneth Harley, Smith Rowley, Carlton Reeves, Frank Hoppough, and Royal Kirby. Burial was in Orleans cemetery. Attending from out of town were Emerson Blumberg, Mrs. Clois Blumberg, and Mrs. Fred Myers of Flint, Harvey Blumberg of Bay City, Mr. and Mrs. William Bentley and family of Ithaca, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Marshall and family of Daytona Beach, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Clare Utter of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Emma VanNortwick, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle North, and Irvin Castin of Belding, Albert Luther, Mrs. Bernice Warden, Mrs. Earl Woodard, Mrs. Stanley Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mitchell, Erme Face, Mrs. Nada Allen, Mrs. P.S.
