Blundy, 33, died suddenly at a Lansing doctor’s office last Saturday. He had gone there to receive a treatment for his right hand which he injured while at work in a Lansing factory over a year ago. His hand had been smashed and the thumb taken off. The hand had pained him recently and after Saturday’s office call he was to have received one more treatment. After that it was expected that his hand would not bother him anymore. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Patrick Church, Rev. Fr. Louis Flohe officiating. The Neller Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements. Burial was in Portland cemetery. The casket bearers, all classmates of Mr. Blundy and members of the V.F.W., were Carl Spitzley, Carl P. Smith, Carl Goodman, Leon Gensterblum, Francis Kis- [Transcriber's Note: The rest of this line is cut off.] Surviving the deceased are the wife, Olga; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Blundy; brothers, Sylvester, of Ionia, and Roman and Donald, of Portland; sisters, Mrs. Amelia Fox, of Pewamo, Mrs. Eva Stevens, of St. Johns, and Mrs. Gertrude Wohlscheid, of Portland. The body was at the home at 353 Bishop St. where the Rosary was recited Monday evening. Mr. Blundy was a veteran of World War II and a member of Portland Post 4090, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
