Sept. 22, 2020 Excerpts from Lansing Obituary Larry C. Blundy- of Portland Died Sunday September 20, 2020-age 68. Born January 21, 1952-son of Roman and Rita (Smith) Blundy. A member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church & Knights of Columbus #2168. Larry was an outdoorsman on the family farm. Larry & wife purchased the Densmore farm, also enjoyed their cottage at Grayling. He was proud of his 1967 Mercury Cougar. He was the Director of Emergency Services and a Paramedic for the City of Portland. He served on the Portland fire departments since age 17, & was the Fire Chief. He was a City Inspector, worked as a mechanic at Pure Gas Station and Russ' Sunoco. He owned and operated West Side Deli in Lansing and ABC Home Inspection. Preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Tom Channel & Bob Densmore; sister-in-law, Kayla Densmore special friend, Dave Teachout; in-laws, Robert Densmore & Elmer and Clarabelle Nurenberg & step-brother-in-law, Leon Nurenberg. Survived by his wife of 13 years, Toni (Densmore); children, Jennifer (Brendan) Pohl, Joshua (Rachel) Blundy; Brandi (Andy) VanDeusen, Heather (Jeff) Cooper, and Heath (Jenny) Werner; grandchildren, Sophie & Spencer Pohl, Hunter, Gabriel, and Reagan Blundy, Claire and Cal Cooper, Grant, Gavin, and Breckyn Werner; the Mother of his children, Char Blundy; siblings Don (Loni) Blundy, Joyce (Larry) Rogers, Judy (Jerry) Brown, Dick (Diane) Blundy, and Debbie Channel; & nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Danby Cemetery. A luncheon at Portland Conservation Club after the burial.
