Maxine J. Bly, 81, of Belding died Wednesday morning, Nov. 26, 2008, at her
home.  Maxine was born March 20, 1927, in Grand Ledge the daughter of Herald and
Etta Mae Sage Beckwith.  She enjoyed playing bingo.  Maxine worked at Gibson’s,
retiring in 1982.

Maxine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Rex Johnson of
Belding; and her son, Thomas Groom also of Belding; seven grandchildren, 15
great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marian Lake of Cedar Springs.  Maxine was
preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bly, in 1994; her son, Charles Groom in
2001; and her sister, Bonnie Barnaby.

In keeping with Maxine’s wishes no services will take place.  Memorial
contributions may be given in her name to the Ionia County Animal Shelter or the
Humane Society.  Funeral care has been entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral
Home, Belding.
