Donald C. Bly, 52, 209 York St., Belding, died Saturday, July 23, 1994, in 
Barryton.  He was born Sept. 3, 1941 in Belding, the son of Clifford and Iva 
Hyde Bly.  He was employed by the Greenville Public Schools as a custodian.  He 
was a 1951 graduate of Belding High School.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine Beckwith, whom he married on Aug. 1, 1971, in 
Belding; one daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Rex Johnson, Belding; two sons 
and daughters-in-law, Charles and Laura Groom, Greenville, and Tom and Patty 
Groom Palo; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara 
Turner, Greenville; and one brother, Kenneth Bly, Belding.

At his request, cremation has taken place.  Private family services will be 
held Wednesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer 
Society.  Arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home, Belding.
