Belding Banner News, 13 Apr 1961

Mrs. Jennie Blystone, a former resident of Ashley Community, passed away April 6
at the Sunshine Sanitorium after a lingering illness.  She was 83 years of age
and was born in Belding September 19, 1877, as Jennie Riker.  She became the
bride of Grant Blystone in 1912, and he preceded her in death November 13, 1952.
 She was a member of the Ashley Baptist church and had lived in Grand Rapids for
the past fifteen years.

Surviving are one son Norman of Grand Rapids, three grandchildren, three great
grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by Ellis Funeral Chapel, with services being Saturday,
April 8, 2 p.m. at the Ashley Baptist Church.  Rev. H.S. Ellis officiated with
pallbearers Ernie Wittenbach, Leo Wittenbach, Walter Wittenbach, Carroll Smith,
Frank Stevens, Walter Skillen.  Burial was in Otisco cemetery.
