Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Oct 1979

Lillian Bocks, 95, of 615 Louisa St., died Friday at her residence.  She was
born Nov. 24, 1883 in Grandville.  She attended Grandville schools and was
married to Herman Bocks in 1924.  He proceeded her in death in 1947.  

Mrs. Bocks was a retired telephone operator and had lived in Muskegon and
Holland before moving to Ionia in 1971.  She was a member of the First Reformed
Church of Grandville and the Rebekah Lodge of Holland.

She is survived by 19 nieces and nephews; 41 great nieces and nephews; 62
great-great nieces and nephews; and 13 great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were to be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Hull Memorial Chapel in
Muir officiated by the Rev. Paul Carmichail of the Lyons Baptist Church,
assisted by Charles Witmar.  Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:30
p.m. at the Grandville Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Zartman of the First
Reformed Church of Grandville officiating.
