Young Bodine was a son of a Methodist minister at Manton and had been brought up in a manner that would have taught him to shun the way of evil doers but he proved that much good seed falls on rocky soil and as a result of his waywardness was sent to a term in the Ionia prison. During his incarceration he was taken sick with cerebro spinal meningitis and after but a short illness passed away. His heart broken father brought the remains to this city for interment and the funeral was held at the Free Methodist church on Saturday last and the interment was made at Belding Cemetery.
