Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. March 30, 2012

Helen Mae Bonsack of Miramar Beach, Fla., passed away March 23, 2012.  She was 
born on Dec. 31, 1917 in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Veronica and William 
Schlernitzauer, (Franks 5 and 10 cents Stores), Ionia; her brother Richard 
Schlernitzauer (Trudy); and her husband, Leroy Bohnsack. 

Helen is survived by her son, William Powers (Cindy) of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., 
and Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and her daughter Bett Appel (Paul) of Santa Rosa 
Beach, Fla., and Lake Tomahawk, Wis.; grandchildren, Bill Powers of Steamboat 
Springs, Colo,. Karen Wolf (Mark) of Denver, Colo., Krista Brown (Todd) of 
Colorado Spings, Colo., Kelly Kutler of Madison,  Wis., and Kristin Appel of 
Chicago, Ill.; great grandchildren, Jason and Jacob Wolf, Megan and Madison 
Brown, Kaitlin and Alex Kutler, and Alicia Appel.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. May 3, 2012 at Balcom Cemetery in 
Ionia.
