Ionia Daily Standard, 25 Jan 1909

Michael Bolan died at the home, 224 Mill street, Sunday afternoon, of Bright’s 
disease.  He leaves a wife, and four children grown to maturity:  Thomas and 
Patrick, of Grand Rapids, James, East Tawas, and Miss Catherine, Ionia.  His 
age was 71.  Funeral from Catholic church, at 9 o’clock, tomorrow morning.  
Deceased will be most kindly remembered by many friends – his wide 
acquaintanceship among the older residents of both city and country, especially 
being equaled by few who are co-equal in the length of their residence in 
Ionia.  He was a good father, a good husband, and a truly good and upright 
citizen.

The members of C. M. B. A. are requested to meet at the home of their late 
brother, M. Bolan, at 7:30 this evening.
