Selleck Bollinger, 94, of Orleans, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia. Hazel was born in Orleans on April 2, 1906, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Buckley) Selleck. Hazel lived in the Orleans area all her life and in her earlier years worked at the Belding Silk Mills. She was a member of the Orleans United Methodist Church, the Orleans Methodist Community Club and the Belding Area Historical Society. She was married to Orville N. Bollinger on Sept. 28, 1929 in Carson City and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1968. Hazel is survived by her daughters, Avis (Dale) Johnson of Stanton, Florine (Frank) Black of Pensacola, Fla., Ruth (Les) Doty of Belding, Joyce (Floyd) Hopkins of Sheridan, Erma (Harold) Lee of Coral; 22 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Sylvia Church of Pompano, Beach, Fla., Hattie Totosain of Boca Raton, Fla., Cleve (Jeanette) Selleck of Fremont, Jerry (Cecilia) Selleck of Ionia, Dean (Mabel) Selleck of Hastings; one brother-in-law, Gordon Higbee; and one sister- in-law, Helen Selleck. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son in infancy; two brothers, Charles and J.B.; two sisters, Addie and Ethel. Funeral and committal services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will be in Orleans Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Following the funeral service there will be a luncheon at the VFW Post in Belding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belding Area Historical Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
