Bolt, 95, of 304 Lafayette Street, Ionia, died Friday evening after an illness of five weeks. Born April 29, 1891, in St. Paul, Minn., she was the daughter of J.B. and Minnie Lois Gardner Hanson. She attended schools in Duluth, Minn., and graduated from Duluth County Normal. She taught in Bismarck, N. Dak. She was married to C.F. Bolt and they resided in Muskegon Heights for many years where he was principal of Muskegon Heights High School. After her husband’s death in 1954, she moved to Ionia to be near her daughter and family. While living in Muskegon Heights, Mrs. Bolt was an active member of Covenant Reform Church. After moving to Ionia, she became a member of First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred M. Kidd Jr. of Ionia; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held at the Lake Forest Chapel in Grand Haven Monday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Robert C. Nixon of First Presbyterian Church of Ionia officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Forest Cemetery in the family lot. Arrangements have been made by Lake Funeral Home, Saranac. There will be no visiting hours.
