Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Oct 1974

Mrs. Janis Jean Bonn, 28, of 332 Bridge, Portland, died suddenly Tuesday 
afternoon of injuries received in an automobile accident on East Bluewater 
highway, Ionia.  Born in Baroda, September 18, 1946, she was the daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Johns.

Surviving are her husband Garner; three sons, Alan Michael, Dale Robert, and 
Gary Lynn and a daughter, Barbara Joan, all at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Alfred Johns of St. Joseph; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wenger Buchanan; 
brother, Alfred Johns, Jr., of Bridgman, two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Hasse of 
Stevensville and Mrs. Alice Landrum of Everglades City, Fla.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Neller funeral home at 
Portland.  Rev. Harold Homer of the Portland United Methodist church will 
officiate and interment will be at the Portland cemetery.  Bearers will be 
Robert Phillips, Jr., Ronald Drysdale, Harold Martin, Jerry Thompson, Michael 
Fox, Merle Winterton.
