          JOHN WESLEY BOOHER
   WOODLAND, MI - John Wesley Booher, age 95, of Woodland, passed away on January
17, 2017 at his home.
   He was born on July 27, 1921 to Wesley and Mabel (Bolinger) Booher in Battle
Creek.  He was 1939 graduate of Woodland High School. John worked as a farmer and at the 
Lake Odessa Canning Company many years.  
   On January 10, 1947, he married Opal Desgranges and she preceded him in death in
2006.
   He was a member of Woodland Lions Club and was an avid golfer, being a club
champion at many area courses.  John enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and making 
maple syrup in the springtime.
   John is survived by children, Betty (Ken) Harris, Mike (Jill) Booher. John 
(Janice) Booher; several grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by wife, Opal Booher; parents, Wesley and Mabel Booher, 
and two sisters.
   Visitation will held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, noon to 2 p.m. at Koops Funeral
Chapel, Inc., Lake Odessa.
   Private burial will take place at the Fuller Cemetery.  Online condolences can be
