Elmer Philip Bookie, 79, of Saranac, passed away Dec. 17, 2013.  He was born to 
Louis and Lila (Hopkins) Bookie of Ionia, on Nov. 9, 1934.

Surviving loved ones include his wife, Janet Culp-Bookie; his children, Frank 
(Denise) Bookie, Bill (Kathy) Bookie, David (Brenda) Culp, Dawn McCann, Deanna 
Culp (Mark Heydenburk), and Carol Misner; grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) 
Bookie, Chad Bookie, Chelsey Culp, Shannon Culp, Nick Karbowski, Alicia 
Karbowski, Steven (Elizabeth) Karbowski, Angela Karbowski, April (Chris) Rose, 
and Hunter Lee; seven great grandchildren; a sister-in-law; and several nieces 
and nephews.

Cremation has taken place; no services are planned.
