                                ARLENE ANN BOOKIE

Died Thursday October 27, 2022-age 88 of Sheridan at Sparrow Ionia Hospital.
Born September 17, 1934 daughter of Harold and Theo Rowland.
Arlene was affectionately known as "Wort" by family & friends.
Throughout the years she worked at Pete's Bar, Bullwinkles Bar, Little Tommy's, 
G.W. Grand and her favorite, Hogs Head Saloon.
She loved caring for cats, and spending time with her family.
Wort knew practically everyone in Sheridan & who they were related to.
Surviving are her 3 children, Frank (Denise) Bookie, Carol (John) Misner, 
William Bookie; 4 grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Bookie, Chad (Angie) Bookie, 
Renee Misner, Jody (Gregg) Garrison; 10 great-grandchildren, Avery, Lillian, 
Mollie, Darcy, Henry, Donovan ,Mason,Lucy, Charlotte, and Clare; brothers, Jack 
Rowland, Blair (Anita) Rowland, Marvin (Carol) Ludwick; brother-in-law, Ron 
Greenhoe; sister-in-law, Judy waterman; many nieces & nephews; and special 
friend,Jen.
Preceded in death by her mom & step-dad, Verna & Theo Beard; dad & step-mom, 
Harold & Dorothy Rowland; sister, Jacqueline Greenhoe; brother, Leo Waterman; 
sister-in-law, Peggy Rowland; & cousin, Sandra Nelson.
Celebration of Life on Wednesday November 2 at Simpson Family Funeral Home in 
Sheridan. 
Visitation will be from 10 AM. - 11 AM. Funeral services begins at 11 AM.
