Bruce Boomer, 68, of Lansing, formerly of Hubbardston, died Monday, August 4,
1997, at his home.  He was born March 29, 1929, to James and Geraldine
Strobridge Boomer.

He graduated from Maple Rapids High School in 1947.  He retired from Oldsmobile
after 30 years of service.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a
member of the VFW in Lansing and the American Legion Post #182 in Hubbardston. 
 He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and golfing.

He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Boomer of Hubbardston; two sisters and
one brother- in-law, Pauline Cusack of Hubbardston, Patsy and Robert Barnes of
Sumner; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Orin Boomer of Casper, Wyo., Dennis
J. and Yvonne Boomer of Hubbardston.  He was preceded in death by his father,
James Boomer.

Funeral services were held Aug. 7 at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson
City, with the Rev. Roger Burk of the Mt. Hope United Brethren Church
officiating.  Interment was in West Side Cemetery in Hubbardston.  Memorials may
be made in the American Heart Association.
