Joseph E. Booms, age 38, of Saranac, passed away Oct. 5, 2007 in Saranac.  He 
was born January 30, 1969 in Grand Rapids the son of Dennis E. and Patsy J. 
(Racine) Booms. He attended Saranac Schools. He loved to hunt fish and hike.

Joseph is survived by his parents Dennis and Patsy Booms of Saranac; daughter 
Kelsey Jo Booms of Saranac; brother, Matt (Jessica) Booms of Saranac; sisters, 
Lisa Styn of Kentucky, Angela Shamblin of Indiana; several aunts, uncles, and 
cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one niece, two uncles 
and two aunts.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Elder Maynard Failing officiating. Interment South Boston Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral 
home in Ionia. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in Joseph's name 
to his family.
