George Peter Booras, age 83, of Lake Odessa, passed away March 5, 2015.  He was
born Oct. 26, 1931, in Watertown, New York the son of Peter J. and Belva Mae
(Lunderman) Booras.  He later married Jean Brooks on July 4, 1951, in
Washington.  She preceded him in death in 2012.

George entered the Air Force during the Korean War, and later the Air National
Guard where he completed his 20 years before retiring.  He worked as Police
Officer and later became Chief of Police.

George is survived by his sons, George “Terry” (Colette) Booras of Lake Odessa
and Kenneth L. Booras of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Korryna Booras,
Krystal (Brett) Booras-Thomas, Timothy (Holly) Booras, Sam Booras, Erica (David)
Wise, Kurt (Jenny) Graebner, Loren Pudvay, and 14 great-grandchildren.  He was
preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years, Jean R. Booras; seven
brothers and four sisters.  

Cremation has taken place.  No Memorial Services will be held at this time. 
Funeral arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
