Daily Sentinel-Standard - Friday, April 25, 1941

Funeral services for Mrs. Leila Bell Borden, who dropped dead at her home in 
Saranac at 4:30 Friday morning will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from 
the Saranac Methodist church. Rev. Frank Loomis will officiate and interment 
will be at Oak Wood cemetery at Lowell. The body will be at the Sisson 
funeral home until time for the service.

She was born in Kent county, March 10, 1880. She was married to William 
Borden of Saranac. For several years she had operated a nursing home at 
Saranac and at one time was an attendant nurse at the Ionia state hospital. 
She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are the husband, William; three sons, Claude H. Schmidt of Lowell, 
Carl Borden of Painesville, O., and Raymond Borden of Hersey; and three 
daughters, Mrs. Letha Wells of Lowell, Mrs. Lucille Bindel of Big Rapids, 
and Mrs Ruth Fox of Ionia.
