He was born May 14, 1950 in Albion the son of Herbert and Gladys (Corson) Bormann. He went on to marry Martha Beglin who survives him in Ionia. He was an Albion High School graduate in 1968. He then attended WMU and received his bachelor in 1974. Completing his masters in 1978. He was employed as a teacher consultant for the visually impaired for Ionia Intermediate School District. A member of AERBYI, Assoc. Education Rehab of the Blind and Visually Impaired. He was a member of the Lyons Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school, directed music for the church and was a past deacon. He is survived by his sons, Micah Bormann of Kalamazoo and Jacob Bormann of Ionia; his daughters, Abby Bormann of Ionia and Hannah Bormann of Ionia; brother, Steven Bormann of Albion; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Mr. Bormann will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. Gary Akright officiating. Interment Lyons Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution to Lyons Baptist church, college fund for the Bormann children or Visually Impaired Camp. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
