The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, December 31, 2014


Louis Leland Borton, age 84, of Ionia, Michigan and formerly of Pewamo, 
Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014.  He was born on July 14, 
1930 in Lyons, MI the son of Stanley and Mable (Hahn) Borton. 

Louis liked walking outside, going to the Commission on Aging, and enjoyed 
church on Sundays at the First United Methodist Church.  He also loved his 
great nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Violet; siblings, Arlene, Carl, 
Opal and Donald. Surviving are his brother, David (Gloria) Borton; several 
nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at the 
First United Methodist Church, 105 E. Main Street, Ionia, with Pastor Jon Van 
Dop presiding.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia.
