Sentinel-Standard - Monday, August 29, 1949

Thomas Borton, 85, a resident of Lyons township for 50 years, died at the 
Ionia County Infirmary Sunday, August 28. He was born November 1, 1863, in 
Ohio.

Surviving are one son, Thomas, Jr., of Pewamo; a grandson, Thomas, of 
Pewamo; and a sister, Lizzie Hissong of Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be held from the Shaw-Rivett funeral chapel in Muir 
Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Myron Hoyt of Lyons officiating. Interment 
will be in Oakwood cemetery in Muir.
