Daily Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, Sept. 24, 1953

Mrs. Mable B. Borton of rural route, Pewamo, died Thursday at 12:30 a.m. at 
the Ionia County Memorial hospital. She was 47 years old.

Mrs. Borton was born in Mulliken on July 29, 1906. She was the daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. Austin B. Hahn. 

She attended school in Alma.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley; two daughters, Arlene Borton of Lapeer 
and Mrs. Opal Welch of Ionia; four sons, Carl, Louis, Donald and David, all 
of Pewamo; three sisters, Mrs. Mina King, Mrs. Sarah Mitchell and Mrs. Ruby 
McDaniel, all of Lansing; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lyons Baptist church with the 
Rev. Maurice Horn officiating. Burial will be in Muir cemetery. The body 
will be at the Shaw-Rivett funeral home until time of services.
