The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, June 10, 1985
Thomas Benjamin Borton, 83, of 292 Higbee Street, Lyons, died early Saturday 
at the Belding Christian Nursing Home.  He was born in Eagle Township, Clinton 
County, June 5, 1902, the son of Thomas and Mary Smalley Borton.  He was a 
fork-lift driver and retired from American Auto Felt, Lyons, in 1960.  He was 
married to Lida Borton, a distant cousin, in March 1944; she died in 1968.

Surviving are a stepson, James Kellogg of Lyons.  A second stepson also 
preceded him in death. 

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, 
with the Rev. Bette Dobbie officiating.  Burial will be in Muir Cemetery.
