Frank Borup, 81, of Saranac, died Thursday at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand
Rapids.  He was born February 1, 1912, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Andrew and
Francis Dulek Borup.  He was a member of the Saranac Fire Department, a past
member of the Saranac Community Club, a past treasurer of Boston Township, and a
past member of the Saranac Village Council.

He married Reva Covert on June 25, 1932, in Indiana, and she survives him.

Other survivors include two sons, Gilbert and Fran Borup, both of Saranac; two
brothers, Earl Borup of Ionia and Ben Wdowicki of Illinois; five grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11a.m. at the Saranac Community Church
with the Rev. Stanley Hagemeyer officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac
Cemetery.  The family will be at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Sunday from 2-4
and from 7-8:30 p.m.  Memorials have been established for the Alzheimer’s
Foundation and the Saranac Public Library, in care of the funeral home.
