Excerpts from Saranac Obituary

Mr.FRAN ALLEN BORUP

Died Friday April 3, 2026- age 84 of Saranac, MI.
Born October 13, 1941 son of Frank & Reva Borup.
Graduated from Saranac High School in 1960.
Married Jackie Hale on June 24, 1961. Together for nearly 65 years, 
Fran was a devoted husband, father and grandparent.
He spent his early adult life at the Saranac Creamery, then moved on to McCord 
gun shop, as a gunsmith.
Worked from Independent bank for over 30 years, as the Branch Manager, before 
retiring from there.
Fran was an excellent wood worker, he enjoyed hunting & fishing & time at his 
Spring Lake cottage.
Survived by his loving wife, Jacky Borup, his children; Becky (Rick) Straubel & 
Jeff (Carmen) Borup, grandchildren; Lance (Rayanne) Beaudry, Derek Beaudry 
(Malina Adler), Tarah (Dylan) Leland, Jacob (Lily) Straubel, Dylan Straubel & 
Vienna Borup; great-grandchildren; Zalia Mackey, Leilah Leland, Cameron Beaudry, 
Lennon Leland, Maya Beaudry & Hudson Straubel.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Reva, and brother Gilbert.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 7 from 5-7pm at Lake Funeral Home 
in Saranac.
Services will be held at Saranac Community Church at 11am on Wednesday, April 
8th, with visitation one hour prior at 10am.
Memorial contributions may be made at the Alzheimer's Association, or the 
Saranac Community Church.
