Ionia Shopper's Guide - Saturday July 23, 2022

                                    BOSLEY

James A. Bosley, age 90, of Ionia passed away July 15, 2022. He was born May 9, 
1932 in Saginaw,Michigan, the son of Durward and Maguerite (Whitechurch) Bosley.

Jim graduated from Houghton Lake High School in 1950 where he played football. 
He attended Ferris State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 
pharmacy. He serviced in the Army during the Korean War.

He opened Bosley Pharmacy and served on the Board of Directors of Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital for several years.

Jim's enjoyments in life were time spent with family, friends and football. 
After retirement he enjoyed raveling in his motor home and eventually spending 
the winters in Lake Placid, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine daughter, Tara Bosley of Houston, Texas, son, 
David (Brenda) Bosley of Ionia; granddaughter Amanda (NIck) Hull of Saranac; 
great-grandsons, Colton, Wyatt and Liam Hull; step-granddaughter, Abby Leonard 
of Ionia; sister, Jackie Parham of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Rodger 
(Kathy) Montgomery of Lansing; sister-in-law, Janet Montgomery of Haslett; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 
2-4 and 6-8 PM, and 1 hour prior to the funeral.

Funeral services for Jim were at the First Presbyterian Church in Ionia, 
Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11 AM with Dr. Chris Dorn officiating. Interment 
with Military Honor to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Those wishing, may 
make Memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Ionia or a charity
