Evelyn Alice Boster, 85 years old of Ionia, Michigan, and formerly of Jesup,
Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at her home in Ionia.  She was born Nov.
25, 1929, in Green City, Missouri, daughter of Frank Amack McFarland and Naomi
Alta (Mobley) McFarland.  She graduated high school in Green City, Missouri,
with the class of 1948, and attended two years at North East Missouri State
Teachers College at Kirksville, Missouri (now Truman University) where she
received her teacher’s certificate.

After the death of her husband, Robert, on Oct. 19, 2006, Evelyn moved to
Michigan and became an active member of the Temple Baptist Church in Ionia.  

Mrs. Boster is survived by one daughter, Connie Boster of Lincoln, Nebraska; one
son, Larry (Sherri) Boster of Ionia, Michigan.; grandchildren, Katherine
Steffen, Michael Steffen, Nicholas Boster and special step grandson Ryan
Bartell; great granddaughters, Madalyn and Brielle Friend; sister-in-law,
Beverly McFarland of St. Louis; four brothers, James McFarland of Novinger,
Missouri, Marvin McFarland of Tucson, Arizona, Cleo (Diane) McFarland of
Winchester, Indiana, Ronnie McFarland of Tucson, Arizona; and one sister, Maggie
(Herman) Fickes of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; five brothers, an
infant, also, Raymond, Frank Jr., Alvie and Willie McFarland;; and two sisters,
Gertrude McFarland and Frances McFarland.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at the White Funeral
Home, Jesup, Iowa, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, Iowa.
