Hastings Reminder - Aug. 13, 2011


Barbara Jean Bosworth, age 82, of Lake Odessa (Woodbury) died Tuesday morning, 
August 9, 2011 at a Grand Rapids Hospital.

Mrs. Bosworth was born August 9, 1929 in Grand Ledge, a daughter of Harvey X. 
and Velma A. (Tran) Kelley. 

A housewife and former Owens-Illinois employee, Barbara enjoyed her flowers, 
playing cards and was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; great-grandson, Wyatt 
Pinkston; brother, Lowell Thomas Kelley and two sisters, Marjorie Beebe and 
Wanda Effrick.

Surviving are six children, Robert Bosworth of Lake Odessa, Jean (Lloyd) 
Barcroft of Clarksville, Kathryn (Craig) Pinkston of Portland, Nancy (Wayne) 
Makley of Clarksville, Brian (Joni) Bosworth ofSunfield and Kevin (Laura) 
Bosworth of Middleville; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two 
brothers, Harvey Kelley of Baldwin and Clare Kelley of South Carolina; a sister 
Shirley Sellers of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Friday August 12, 2011 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, 
Mulliken, with Pastor Don Woolum officiating. Interment was in Meadowbrook 
Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Doug Barcroft, Jeff Pinkston, Kelley McArthur, Randy McArthur, 
Paul McArthur, Dylan Bosworth and Trenton Bosworth.
