She is now with her family and friends that passed before her in the house of the Lord. Jane was born on August 7, 1942 in Portland, MI to the parents of Mildred Huhn Nurenberg and Edwin Nuurenberg. Jane lived on a family farm with her siblings as well as her grandparents. Later moved to a farm of their own near Palo, MI. She attended school in a one room schoolhouse but missed many days of school because of her health. Jane was determined to overcome the odds that she had been dealt and went on to School in Lansing, MI where she achieved her Cosmetology license in May 1962 and worked in two different beauty shops in Ionia. Jane was first married in 1963 and soon afterwards her doctor told her that she wouldn't survive if she gave birth to a baby. Jane continued not to give up the fight to be healthy. She had open heart surgery in 1965, Overcoming the odds, she had two sons, Shawn Michael Botruff in 1968 and Brian Scott Botruff in 1970. In 1972, Jane met and married Dave Botruff and moved to Marquette, MI where she continued to work in the Norlite Nursing Home beauty shop to make the ladies of the facility feel good about themselves. Janes's family had many adventures in the upper peninsula over many years and then moved to Grayling, MI in 1987 where her family bought a home on Lake Margrethe which became the gather place for the blended family with great memories of kids and grandkids with Grandma Jane. She would spend many hours making everything "just right" for all. He life was for her family and she made everyone very special and welcome. In 2002, after Dave's retirement she spent sixteen winters in either Arizona or Florida making many friends from all over the United States and Canada. Jane is survived by many family members and will be greatly missed and remembered for all the love she provided to her family.Her husband Dave of 48 years, their children Shawn Michael and Angela Botruff in Suttons Bay,MI, Brian Scott and Lorrie Botruff in Gladstone,MI, Dwayne and Traci Botruff in Byron Center, MI, Anita and Jim Smith in Bradenton, FL and Brian Michael and Jennifer Botruff in Fowlerville, MI. Her siblings Don Nurenburg and Ethel Lowery in Portland, MI, Dave and Terri Nurenberg in Ionia, MI, Pat and Gary Seat in Carson City, MI, Linda and Dick Gotwalt in Greenville,MI Lucy and Jim Weight and their family in Denver, CO, Gloria Botruff and family in Thorton, CO and Bruce Schroeder and family in Grayling,MI. Jane's Great-granddaughters Ava Botruff and Peyton DeMenter. Jane's wishes were honored, and cremation has already taken place. A celebration of Jane' life, a memorial at Lake Marquette where the family have gathered for the last 34 years will take place later this summer.
