Bouck, 86 years old, widow of Wellington S. Bouck, died Friday morning at the home of her son, William Bouck, in Lansing. Mrs. Bouck was born in Bayfield, Ontario. She was the oldest of five sisters and the last to pass away. They came to Ionia 53 years ago. Mr. Bouck operated a harness shop on Steele street until his death in 1908. Following his death she moved to Kalamazoo, where her two sons were attending college, later she moved to Lansing, where she had been living with her son William until her death. Surviving are three sons, William, of Lansing, Harvey, of Kalamazoo, and Charles, of Albuquerque, N.M., two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Lohrer, of Topeka, Kans., and Mrs. Alice Smith of Grand Rapids, a niece, Mrs. Leonard Scheid, and a nephew, James Dickout, of Ionia. Two years ago Mrs. Bouck was made a life member of the Ionia Order of Eastern Star. She had been a life-long member of the Presbyterian church, as was her family before her. The predominating factor of her life was her joy of living. She was always a good mother, a loyal church and lodge worker and a great reader. She had always been in good health until the past year. Funeral services will be held from the Stone funeral home at 1:30 o’clock Monday afternoon. Rev. Frank Walkup of the Presbyterian church in Muir will conduct the service. The Eastern Star will conduct the burial services. Burial will be held in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
