The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 21, 1947
Emma Jane Boughey, 69, died at her home, 450 Lafayette Street, January 21.

She was born in Norwich, England, March 19, 1877, coming to United States in 
1905 and residing near Lowell.  She moved to Ionia in 1910 where she has made 
her home since.  She was a charter member of the Moose auxiliary, a member of 
the Odd Fellows of England and Maccabees of Ionia.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Smith of Ionia; 
two children, Barbara Jean Smith of Ionia and Harold Rinks of Grand Rapids, 
and a great granddaughter, Dawn Ann Rinks, of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held from the Bradley funeral home Friday at 2:30 
p.m. Temporary interment will be in the mausoleum at Highland Park cemetery.  
The Rev. Father Emmett Moore will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Willliam 
Rivett, Art Rivett, Jack Rivett, Frank Harknell, and Harry Warner.  Burial in 
Muir cemetery.
