Boughton, 74, North Jefferson street, died early Thursday morning following a long illness. He was born November 4, 1860, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Boughton, at Wauseon, Ohio. He came to Ionia with his parents. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Hoth, May 13, 1895, and they had lived a few years in Saranac and in Ohio, but for the past 28 years, they had resided in Ionia. He had been in ill health since July. Surviving are his wife; four stepsisters, Mrs. Eugene Galbraigh, Mrs. Jacob Shumaker and Mrs. Harry Gill of Wauseon, Ohio, and Mrs. Lew? Rockwell of Detroit, and a cousin, Miss Mary Boughton, of Havana. Funeral services will be held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 and they will be private for the immediate family and close friends. Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery. The body will be at the Boynton funeral chapel until Saturday morning for friends who wish to view the remains.
