W. B. Bouk died at 3:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the family home, 235 
State street, where he has been ill for several months.  Mr. Bouk was 59 years 
of age and was born in Canada.  He has resided in Ionia many years, was a 
prominent Mason and is survived by his wife, four sons and two daughters.  The 
funeral will be held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock and will 
be in charge of the Masons.  Rev. W. K. Spencer will officiate and the burial 
will be in Highland Park cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Tuesday, June 1, 1909

The funeral services for W. S. Bouk were held from the last residence at 3 
o’clock Sunday afternoon.  Rev. W. K. Spencer officiated.  The music was by 
the Presbyterian choir and interment in Highland park cemetery.  The services 
were under the auspices of the Masons and were largely attended.  There was a 
profusion of lowers, from societies and friends.
