Lake Odessa Wave, Sep 1942

Florence Otto Bouton was born in Woodland township, Barry county on July 30, 
1876, and departed this life Monday afternoon, Aug. 10, 1942, at her home near 
Lake Odessa, at the age of 66 years.

She was united in marriage to Frank H. Bouton of Jackson, Mich., in the year 
1920.  Five years later the Boutons purchased the Bowers farm northwest of Lake 
Odessa where they resided until three years ago when they moved to their 
present home.

The deceased, who had been failing in health during the past two years, was 
very tenderly cared for by her husband.  She leaves to mourn their loss, 
besides her husband, one brother, Wayne Otto in Chicago, her aunt, Mary (Mrs. 
Tom Barkdull), uncles, John Bower and John Otto, families of Lake Odessa, and a 
host of Friends.

Mrs. Bouton was a member of the Presbyterian church, was a kind friend and 
neighbor.  She will be greatly missed in the community.

The funeral was largely attended at the Wortley & Baine chapel Thursday 
afternoon with the Rev. F. W. Moxon officiating.  Burial was in Lakeside 
cemetery.

Those from out of town who were in attendance at the rites were the Harry 
Warner family, William Bouton, Frank Albro family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Williams, 
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Teeple, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Purdy of Jackson, Miss Oneta 
Simpson and sister of Lowell, the Ray Kinsey family of Albion, Mrs. Natalie 
Hawkins, Mrs. Ardis Rush, Mrs. Wanda Bennett and Miss Margarete Barker of 
Lansing, Mrs. Thelma Hancock of Holt, and Wayne Otto of Chicago.
