Dec. 21, 2016 MYONG SON BOVEE 1941- 2016 Myong Son Bovee (Kim) went to be with our Lord Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at the age of 75 after declining health over the past couple of years. Due to unavailability of records, Kim's recollection of her young life was incomplete. According to her passport she was born in Kyong-Nam, Korea on Oct. 20, 1941. She recalled losing her entire family during the Korean War at around 10 years of age. Kim married Michael Bovee and moved to Michigan in 1971 After their divorce in 1988, Kim was informally adopted by the family of Dick and Marti Whipple. She worked for 15 years at Saranac Brand Foods and retired to spend several happy years at the MIll Creek Meadows complex in Saranac. She was active in prayer group and church activities. Kim was such a warm and loving person that if you showed her love and affection, you would receive it back tenfold. She was preceded in death by her adopted mother, Ida Harger; and brothers, Arthur, Edward and Charles Harger. Kim is survived by sisters Marti (Dick) Whipple, Juanita Heintzelman, Carol (Mike) Heaton; brothers Ken (Beverly) Harger & Larry (Margie) Harger; several nieces and nephews, including Steve (Lisa) Whipple, Keri (John) Dunn; and great nieces and nephews, Tony (Kara) Whipple, Tom (Cherish) Whipple, Corey and Kirstin Dunn; and good friend, Jackie (Gary) Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Lake funeral Home in Saranac with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to her family.
