Ionia Sentinel Standard, 5 Mar 1990

Dorothy (King) Bowbeer, 69, of Ionia, formerly of Oak Park, died March 2 at her
home in Ionia.  She was born Dec. 20, 1920 in Thornberry, Ontario.  She was a
retired telephone operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Co., Providence Hospital
and Mastercard.  She was a former member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Oak
Park.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Paul (Jean) Morand of Hartland, Lynne Bowbeer
of Ionia, Donna Bowbeer of Ionia; a son Jim Gatacre of San Clemente, Calif.; 10
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken and Gary King of
Toronto; a sister, Joyce Bond of Toronto.

Funeral services are today at 1 p.m. at the Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S.
Lafayette, Royal Oak.  Burial is in Union Cemetery, Thornberry, Ontario. 
Memorial contributions may be made to Ionia Area Hospice, 117 N. Depot, Ionia.
