Mildred Bowen will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthonys Catholic church in Saranac. Burial will be in Easton cemetery. Mrs. Bowen, 59, of 289 East Main, Saranac, died at Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids, Friday, following a fall at her home in Saranac Thursday evening. Born January 5, 1909 in Lowell, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Austin. Graduating from Lowell high school, she also attended Western Michigan Teachers college in Kalamazoo. She was a piano teacher and member of St. Anthonys church and its guild of Saranac. She was married to Emory E. Bowen in 1930 and lived 30 years in Easton township before coming to Saranac eight years ago. Besides her husband Emory E. she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Harry Mackie of Mawood, Ill.; two sons John, First St., at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana; and Dale of Saranac; seven grandchildren; two brothers, David Austin of Ovid; and Austin Munson of Grand Rapids.
