After suffering the stroke Mrs. Bowen managed to get upstairs before she fell. She was found by her daughter-in-law on the bedroom floor when she returned from her duties at the Ionia Building and Loan office. Mr. Bowen died in 1913. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Florence O’Harrow, of Lowell; Miss Laura Bowen, of Allegan; Gale Bowen, of Saranac; Mrs. August White, of Grand Rapids; Fred Bowen, of Ionia; Mark Bowen of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Maggie Ames, of Saranac. Mrs. Bowen is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Arnold of Grand Rapids, and three brothers, King Rickert and William Rickert of Keene township, and Barclay Rickert, of Saranac. The funeral will be held from the residence of her son, Fred Bowen, 409 King Street, Friday afternoon at 1:30 and from the Methodist Episcopal Church at 2 o’clock. Rev. W. F. Kendrick will conduct the service. Burial will take place in the Pinkney Cemetery.
