Dale E. Bowen, 38, of 8601 W. Bluewater Highway, Saranac, died Friday evening 
at home.  Mr. Bowen was born August 24, 1945, at Ionia, the son of Emory and 
Martha (Austin) Bowen.  A resident of Saranac for the past 20 years, he was an 
employee of Greenville Products.

Surviving are his wife, the former Betty Belcher, whom he married February 24, 
1963, at Ionia; a daughter, Tamara, and a son, Edward, both at home; his 
father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Bowen of Florida; a sister, Mrs. 
Louise Mackie, Illinois; and a brother, John Bowen, Ohio.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, the 
Rev. Edwin Mendenhall officiating.  Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.  The 
family will meet with friends and relatives from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the 
funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer 
Society.
