Mr. Bowen was born in Keen township August 1, 1872. He lived there until 22 years of age when he went west. He remained in the west continuously since that time with exception od short visits he made back in his home township. For the past 34 years he had been living in and near Kalispell and Whitefish, Montana. He was employed in lumber camps. It was in one of the camps he was injured, dying about five hours later in spite of medical aid. Mr. Bowen is survived by two sisters, Mrs. May Sayles, of Edmore and Mrs. Belle Dutt, of Sand Lake and five brothers, Elmer Bowen, A. J. Bowen and Howard Bowen of Saranac and Floyd and Verne Bowen, of Detroit. Services were to be from the Methodist Episcopal church at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. Batemen, officiating.
