Portland Review, Nov 1997

Louis A. Bower, 80, of Portland died Nov. 6, 1997.  Mr. Bower was born in St.
Johns May 19, 1917, the son of George and Agnes (Fitzpatrick) Bower.  He was a
member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Portland and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife, Katherine; daughters, Mary (Byron) Kincaid of Portland
and Karen (Mike) Halsey of Fort Pierce, Fla.; sons, James (Laurey), Dale (Linda)
and David (Kimberly) Bower, all of Portland; 11 grandchildren; and brother, John
Bower of Grand Ledge.

Funeral mass was celebrated Nov. 10 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the
Rev. Troy Nevins officiating.  Rite of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery.
