The Ionia County News, Thursday, January 30, 1936

Mrs. George Bower, of Portland, was laid to rest Saturday at Portland.  The 
services had been postponed on account of the storm.  Mr. and Mrs. Bower lived 
near Pewamo a number of years, in the neighborhood where he grew to manhood, 
and both have many friends and relatives here and at Hubbardston.  Mrs. Bower 
was Agnes Fitzpatrick, whose family lived northeast of Hubbardston.  She was 
58 years old, and is survived by her husband, a son, and a daughter.
