Former Resident Passes Away
John "Jack" M. Bower, age 56, resident of R.S. Boreham Company of Commerce,
California, passes away May 21, 1977 at his home in LaPalma, California. He was born in Lake
Odessa November  20, 1920, the son of Merton and Minerva Bower. He participated in most
high school athletics, predominantly football and graduated from Lake Odessa High School
in 1938.

Mr. Bower married Edna Sebastian of Lake Odessa January 20, 1941 and served in the
U.S. Marines through out W.W. II. They moved to California in 1946 and resided in the
Long Beach area.

Survivors include his wife, Edna; one son, Larry of El Paso, Texas; three
grandchildren; mother, Minerva Senters of Lake Odessa; one sister Madonna Bower Pick of Lakeland, 
Florida; and five brothers, Larry of Phoenix, Ariz., Victor of Denver, Colo., Harold
of Dimondale, Mich., LaVon and Maynard of Lake Odessa.

Services were held May 23, 1977 and Jack was interred at Westminister Memorial Park,
California.
