MRS. FRED BOWER BURIED WEDNESDAY

The funeral of Mrs.Fred Bowers, a prominent Woodbury resident, was  held at the 
Eckhardt church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, and the body was interred in 
Lakeside cemetery. Mrs.Bowers death occurred Monday morning after a short 
illness. Cancer of the liver was the cause of her illness.

Mrs.Bowers is survived by her husband, two brothers, David H.Smith of this place 
and George Smith of Woodbury, and two sisters, Mrs.G.V. Hildinger and Mrs.John 
Schelter of Woodbury. It will be remembered that the father, Mr.John Smith died 
just recently, who had lived with the Bower's family on the old home farm.

The community was greatly shocked Monday morning when the news of death of 
Mrs.Fred Bowers became known. She will be greatly missed, not only by her 
relatives and near friends but in U.B. Missionary Society, where she was a 
faithful and untiring worker.
