Cleon L. Bowerman, 54, of 7400 Hallridge, Belding, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 
1991 at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.  Owner and operator of Bowerman 
Electric in Grattan and Grand Rapids, he was born June 25, 1936, in Yankee 
Springs to Rollo and Mae Woodman Bowerman.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the 
Korean War.

On Nov. 18, 1959, he married the former Vivian Wallman in Dutton.  She 
survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Brenda) Sisson, 
Maryville, Wash.; three sons, Donald and his fiancé, Cheryl Berlin, Grand 
Rapids, Paul and his wife, Shelly, Cedar Springs, Gary, Grattan; two 
granddaughters, Toni Lynn Bowerman, Brandi Lee Sisson; his parents f 
Middleville.

Other survivors are his twin sister, Mrs. Henry (Cleoria) Elgersma, Grand 
Rapids; two brothers and their wives, Theron and MaryAnn, Bowenville, Basil 
and Joann, Grand Rapids.  Funeral committal services are 1 pm Monday at 
Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, Pastor John Frye of Bella Vista Church 
officiating.  Burial is in Ashley Cemetery.  Visitation at the funeral home is 
Saturday from 7 to 9 pm, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Sunday from 2 to 4 
and 7 to 9 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart 
Association.
