Ionia Daily Sentinel – Thursday, 21 April 1910
The funeral of Earl Bowerman was held Thursday, April 14 at ten o’clock in the 
morning at the church of Christ.  Rev. G. W. Moore officiated and interment 
was in Highland Park.  Earl was the youngest son of Cassius and Esther 
Bowerman and was born in Petoskey, July 7, 1886.  He was married to Miss Vesta 
Porter, of Benton Harbor, March 22, 1907.  To them was born one daughter who 
died in infancy.  Earl was united with the Church of Christ of this place at 
the age of 17 years.  He has been a great sufferer from tuberculosis since 
October, 1909, being ever hopeful to the last that he might regain his 
health.  His death occurred Sunday, April 10 at New Berlin, Ohio, at the age 
of 23 years.  He leaves a wife, father, sister and brother.
